THE Hamilton Kangaroos registered the final three goals of an enthralling A grade netball contest against Terang Mortlake on Saturday to claim their fourth win of season 2014.
A spirited Bloods outfit drew level at 50 goals apiece before the Kangaroos responded with three unanswered goals.
Inconsistency was once again a thorn in the side of the Kangaroos.
The Kangaroos trailed 5-1 early in the final quarter and were then outscored 14 goals to eight in the third.
The bits in between, however, were very good.
“Again … not a consistent four quarters,” Hamilton Kangaroos coach Sara Byrne told the Spectator in her post match interview.
“But the one thing that I can say I am really happy with is, when they actually came back at us, we were able to steady and pull away.
“So that’s a good sign in that respect; that they’re not going to drop their heads when they come back at us.
“The girls could actually just steady the ship and be able to put a score on the board, which is good.”
