ICY conditions caused a log truck to lose its B-trailer on the Casterton-Naracoorte Rd, near Nangeela.
Senior Constable Ian Lee of Casterton Police said the truck was travelling north, early Thursday morning, when the trailer slid on the road surface, turning over and spilling its load of logs.
“No offences have occurred, it was just really slippery conditions on the icy road,” Sen Const Lee said.
The Moreland Holdings truck and A-trailer remained upright and the driver, from the Hamilton area and aged in his late 30s, was uninjured.
The incident caused the road’s closure for about an hour, while a local farmer assisted with clearing debris.
