ENTRY fees were well worth it on Saturday as Casterton-Sandford seniors battled it out with the East Gambier Bulldogs to a one-point difference at the final siren.
Both teams went into the clash with high expectations; East keen to get their first win on the board and the Cats determined to firm up their position in the top four.
East have always had the reputation for being serious competitors, because regardless of where they sit on the ladder, they always play determined, hard fought, body on body football and this game was to be no exception.
Prior to the start of the game, veteran Cat, Jason Harvey was recognised with a banner for his outstanding achievement as the club’s new senior games record holder.
Casterton-Sandford started well; seemingly undeterred by the physicality of East’s attack, they met their opponents head on, and matched them tackle for tackle.
