HEATHMERE and Heywood will create history tomorrow when the junior and senior grades of football are played on the same day.
The two clubs will unite their junior and senior ranks in a special day for local football and netball at the Heathmere Recreation Reserve.
By sheer coincidence both the junior and senior leagues had identical fixtures this round which allowed the two clubs to arrange the event.
The senior and junior grades operate as separate entities at Heathmere and Heywood but it is hoped that such an event will intertwine and closely integrate the two grades at both clubs.
The under-13s will kick-start the day from 8.30am, with the under-15s, under-17s, reserves and seniors to follow in what forms a landmark occasion for both clubs.
