WESTERNS Football Netball Club and Tyrendarra will be playing for more than points when the two local rivals clash at Alexandra Park tomorrow, with Westerns hosting a Pink Sports Day in support of the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Westerns netballers will wear pink bibs during tomorrow’s games and the footballers pink socks, while the netballers and footballers will trade their regular match balls for pink ones for the round.
Westerns president Clarkston Ray said like everyone in the community, his club had been touched by breast cancer and everyone at the club was passionate about doing their part to help.
“We have had some members go through that battle and we have one member battling it at the moment, so we decided we wanted to do something about it,” Ray said.
