IT takes a lot of dedication and resilience to be able to bring up a milestone such as 300 games, and in these days where players move from one club to another with ease, an incredible amount of love and loyalty towards the one club.
To reach that figure brings its own form of reverence and respect from club mates and opponents alike and there are few players within the South West District Football Netball League who are as highly regarded as Cavendish netball star Trish Hurley.
Hurley brought up her milestone in the convincing Round Four victory over Dartmoor, an achievement made even more impressive after spending much of last year watching her teammates from the sidelines while pregnant.
“It is so exciting to finally make the 300,” she said.
“After having Thomas last year, I was very pleased to get back onto the court, play some A grade netball and get my 300 games up.
“I didn’t play most of last year, but I was able to have a good pre-season this year and was able to come back.
“I love our little club and it’s been fantastic.”
