CAVENDISH coach Brad White was a relieved man after the Bloods’ 31 point win over Branxholme-Wallacedale on Saturday and thankful that his men started playing their style of football in the second half to overcome a 17 point deficit five minutes into the third quarter.
“Branxholme really took it up to us,” he said.
“They really showed the emerging side that they are going to become and they gave our boys a bit of a rev up.
“They really demonstrated that when you ran and carry the footy and you hit your targets, that you can break the game open.
“The game was played in two halves … I reckon the first half went to them and in the second we had to respond, we did, and that was the pleasing aspect.
“The style of footy we played in the first half was not what we’ve been working on … polar opposite, the second half was exactly what we’ve been working on and we kicked 12 goals to their five.
