THE Hamilton Kangaroos need to lift themselves up off the canvas after taking another “body blow” against South Warrnambool on Saturday at Friendly Societies’ Park.
Whether their latest 14.15 (99) to 13.14 (92) setback was a knockout blow will depend on how the playing group responds in coming weeks.
Not for the first time this season the Kangaroos found themselves in a winning position away from home, only to return empty handed.
The challenge now before the Kangaroos is to rectify this alarming trend and to do so quickly!
Hamilton Kangaroos senior playing coach Jarrod Holt issued a blunt and honest assessment in his post match interview with the Spectator.
“The results are results,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter how good you are … results are results and that’s all I care about.
“If we play like crap and win a game, I’m happy.”
The Kangaroos will use the interleague break this weekend to reassess where they are at.
