THE Hamilton Mobile Library has seen more than its fair share of strange characters over the years, but this is the first time it has taken a sheep on board.
The unusual cargo is all part of the preparation for what may possibly be the quirkiest festival ever to hit the Southern Grampians Shire, the Woolly West Fest from July 28 to August 10.
Event organisers describe the festival as wool craft meets children’s literature.
Creative co-ordinator and local wool craft artist, Jacinta Wareham said it was a yarn-bombing festival with a twist.
“We are creating a flock of crafted sheep from all the communities in the Greater Hamilton area,” Ms Wareham said.
