WESTERN District Health Service (WDHS) is urging members of the local community to spend a few hours of their time knocking on doors to raise funds for vital hospital equipment.
It not only gives people the chance to contribute to the health service but also to interact with their local community.
Even WDHS chief executive, Jim Fletcher gets involved and knocks on a few doors.
“You can’t be asking volunteers to be doing it if you’re not prepared to do it yourself, that’s the way I look at it,” Mr Fletcher said.
“Some people get a bit of a surprise when they see who it is at the door, but it is good to get out there and meet some of the community members.”
