THE decision to cut off a large amount of your hard is a hard decision for anyone to make; for Chloe Leighton, the bigger picture was more important.
After chopping off more that 30cm of her hair, Chloe is donating her locks to Look Good … Feel Better, a charity that helps cancer patients deal with the often distressing appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.
After seeing an advertisement for the cause online, Chloe decided that she’d make the big decision herself and donate some of her hair.
“Even though I had grown my hair out for two years, it is not as big of a deal as what those who are going through treatment have to deal with.
“I made the decision on my own, and encourage others to do the same.”
All of the wigs created are provided to women undergoing cancer treatment free of charge.
