TYRENDARRA is back in the top-five of the South West District Football League following a nine-point win over Cavendish on Saturday.

The Darras were desperately short of personnel leading up to the match for a variety of reasons but with the neighbouring Hampden Football League having a bye round due to Interleague commitments Tyrendarra senior coach Mick Ford was able to call on a handful of one-off recruits to bolster his senior and reserves sides.
This set the stage for a strong battle with the Bloods, one which went down to the final minutes of the day.
The opening quarter played according to script, with the Bloods managing to come out of the opening stanza with a two-point advantage.
