TODD Templeton was just 19-years-old when he was involved in a car accident that killed his close friend.
Now nearly 18 months on, the young man has been committed to stand trial, fighting a charge of culpable driving causing death.
In a committal hearing in the Warrnambool Magistrate’s Court last week, Magistrate Ann McGarvie determined there was sufficient evidence to send Mr Templeton to trial.
The now 20-year-old, from Sobeys Road, Hamilton, will face the Geelong County Court on August 29.
Mr Templeton and his friend Alex Trotter, 19, were believed to have been returning from a trip to Nigretta Falls around 3am on December 7, 2012.
Their car is alleged to have been travelling up to 200km/h along Mount Baimbridge Road before it rolled and came to rest against a power pole.
