Shouts of “encore” reverberated through the darkened theatre of Portland Arts Centre on Thursday night as a promotional film highlighting the region ended.
And they played it again.
The video, created by Peter and Karen Corbett’s Powerhouse Productions, had its first public showing this week in the city it will serve.
Glenelg Shire Council chief executive officer Sharon Kelsey said the video was a “terrific celebration of the things we can do when we work hand in hand.”
An obviously delighted Glenelg Shire Council Mayor John Northcott said he thought the video would serve the region well, particularly the cruise ship market, which for the council was a priority action.
“Already, when the first cruise ship came, this film was shown to passengers immediately before their arrival here,” he said.
