THE South West Classic basketball tournament was hailed as a success following another year of strong competition, wacky uniforms and unusual team names.
The Lighthouse was a carnival of electricity and vibrancy across the weekend during the highly celebrated event.
Portland’s love of sport and entertainment was overwhelmingly evident for locals and visitors alike and there was plenty of colour and excitement generated through the stadium’s patrons.
Twenty-four teams competed in the three-day event and the reintroduction of the player’s ball ensured the Portland Basketball Association reaped in some handy profits.
