BAFFLED, bemused and bewildered would best describe the feeling around Bushfield Oval on Saturday, as a near spiritless effort from the Hamilton Kangaroos resulted in a 57 point defeat at the hands of North Warrnambool.
The Kangaroos could only produce goals at one end of the ground, while the Eagles ran either around or through some at times poor efforts to tackle to produce double the amount of scoring shots, despite having only 10 more inside 50s for the game.
Everyone is entitled to have a bad game … they happen to every club, just like it happened to North Warrnambool last week against Port Fairy, but unaccountable football, matched with wasted scoring chances and giving up countless turnovers is not the sort of football which will win games anywhere, let alone in the Hampden.
