THE wintery conditions did not keep the crowd away and plenty of fans got to see fifth-placed Casterton-Sandford bring home the bacon against Western Border Football League ladder leaders West Gambier by 43 points at Island Park last Saturday.
In a clear demonstration of what they’re truly capable of, the Cats made the Kangaroos look very ordinary.
Cats’ regular ruckman Dale Bunnik was sidelined through illness, so Daniel Wombwell stepped up to the plate and did well. The game started slowly as both teams went through the motions of playing football without any emotion.
