THE Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning (HIRL) arts and craft program is expanding to provide greater assistance and encouragement for the local artisan community.
HIRL has been offered the use of a shop in Thompson St rent free for a minimum of three to four months to co-ordinate the establishment of an arts shop to service participating artisans of the Greater Hamilton area.
The shop will be used to display artists’ work and to start creating an artists’ hub.
