DARTMOOR remains undefeated after overcoming Heywood by 20 points on Saturday, but in the match of the day, the Lions showed early in the game that the all conquering Giants could be tamed.
In an eerie reminiscence of last year, when the undefeated Lions found their margins shrink as the season went on against their biggest challengers, Heywood exposed a couple of cracks, giving plenty of hope that despite Dartmoor’s dominance, the premiership is still very much up for grabs.
The home crowd has watched their team crush one team after another in 2014, but those wearing the distinctive orange colours up on the hill had furrowed brows when the indestructible Giants were given a taste of the sort of medicine it has been giving out in the first quarter.
