BRUNSWICK cyclist Nathan Elliott made amends for last year’s astonishing defeat when he claimed victory in the Permewans Hamilton Victorian 100km Championship on Sunday.
Elliott was a major player in an eight rider breakaway which took control of the race at the half way point and despite the last ditched effort of the chasing peloton, went on to provide six of the top 10 placegetters.
Forty-four riders faced the start line for the championship at Pedrina Park which took in 13 laps of a 7.8km circuit, encompassing North Boundary, Hensley Park, Beveridges and Mt Baimbridge Roads.
