A HAMILTON truck driver has captured an image of the bright light which streaked across Australian skies last Thursday night.
Gary Overall was driving a couple miles west of Coleraine after 9pm when he saw a bright object with a long burning tail in the sky outside his vehicle’s windscreen.
His instant thought was that the object was a meteorite.
But astronomers believe the object was more likely part of a Russian weather satellite.
