LOWAN independent candidate Katrina Rainsford has called to end mobile black spot program “cost shifting” to local governments and has received support from the Australian Country Alliance.
Dr Rainsford said the Federal Government has limited their contribution to fixing mobile phone black spots across Australia to $100 million.
She was concerned that the Victorian Government had “chipped in only $40m” and local governments were “expected to pay the gap in funding.”
