WATCHING Ivy and Van Steel play happily in their Hamilton home you would never guess what the family has been through.
There are hints – the nose tube secured to Ivy’s face by a bright colourful bandaid and her soft hair growing back – but they play together like the two happy siblings they are.
Their parents Craig and Jenna watch on, thankful that after little more than a year, Ivy is finally home.
Last week she was finally given permission to return to Hamilton after almost 400 days living in Melbourne where she was a regular at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
