EXPANDING social media reach and further developing links within the shire have emerged as the two main priorities for the Portland Tourist Association for the next 12 months.
On the eve of the group’s annual general meeting on August 13, PTA chair Dennis Carr said their website was generating 2000 hits a week, and the aim is to boost that figure substantially.
“Social media is definitely a very high priority for us,” Mr Carr said. “It will be great to increase our presence online.”
He said there are now about seven regular members of the PTA committee, a figure he’d like to see grow to about nine or ten.
