GROWING up in the South Australian outback, Jessica Nicholls never thought she would win Sheepvention’s Australasian Young Designer Wool Award.
A third year student at Tafe SA, Ms Nicholls drew inspiration from the cracked dirt in her hometown of Woomera to create a beautiful and elegant evening gown.
As the winner of the sought-after Handbury Scholarship, Ms Nicholls will attend a two-week residential course in fashion design at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy, valued at $10,500.
