ALMOST 200 Grade 6 pupils from Portland, Heywood and surrounding districts converged on the Portland Secondary College to participate in the annual Boys and Girls Day on Monday.
The day allowed the 183 primary schools students to mingle and meet new people while participating in a number of interactive activities and presentations, including boot camp and drug and alcohol prevention.
The purpose of the event is to aid the transition from primary school to secondary college.
The students appeared to highly enjoy the activities and some already had made new friends.
