AN ASTONISHINGLY good eye for exactly matching one colour to another has put an 18-year-old Portlander on track for a national car spray painting award.
Emily Barry from Bruno Body Repairs is busy polishing her skills in preparation for a trip to Sydney in October for the National Automotive Colour Matching Championships. She qualified recently by winning the Victorian title over six other apprentices from across the state.
Her boss, Paul Adams, said just getting to the state championships was an achievement in itself, let alone winning.
