KEPPEL Prince Engineering general manager Steve Garner told Sunday’s forum that the fate of renewable energy in Australia could have well been discussed “in the last few hours”.
“The Australian Financial Review is reporting that politicians are meeting today to discuss the RET’s future,” he said.
Mr Garner said Keppel Prince currently had 130 people working on towers for wind farms, but they were only assured of work until October.
Their fate hangs in the balance along with the Renewable Energy Target (RET), he said.
