SCOTT King has returned from the South Australian Sprint Kart Championship as the champion in the X30 Heavy Class after he raced to victory at the Monarto Go Kart Complex last weekend.
King was one of eight competitors who competed in the class and he told the Portland Observer he entered the event positive he could achieve success.
“I was reasonably confident because all of the guys in the class I had raced against before bar one,” he said.
King finished fourth in the opening qualifying heat and marginally improved in his next qualifying race when he finished in third place behind rival drivers Paul Pittam and Scott Simpson.
