AFTER 100 years of selflessly serving the community, the Merino branch of Australia Red Cross has closed.
With only three active members remaining, the decision was made at a meeting in conjunction with members of the Tahara branch on August 19.
The meeting was held only two days after the branch celebrated its 100th birthday with the local community and six days after Red Cross Australia celebrated its centenary.
