A MAJOR dispute is brewing between the Portland Professional Fishermen’s Association (PPFA) and the Port of Portland about access to Fisherman’s Wharf.
And it may end up in court.
PPFA secretary Andrew Levings yesterday morning described the Port of Portland as “a big toad that wants everything its own way and just sits there silently”.
He said a gate across Barton Place would soon limit access to the wharf.
