AMBITIOUS teenager Taylah Nelson has set the bar high following her under-13s best and fairest in the Hampden Netball League after winning the award in an exciting finish on Wednesday night.
Nelson secured the award when she polled three votes against Koroit in a tense final round of voting to beat Port Fairy’s Eloise Swarbrick by a single vote.
Portland’s Jaymie Falconer rounded out the top vote getters in third place with 23 votes.
Nelson admitted she was nervous entering the final round at the vote count which was held at Warrnambool’s Deakin University campus.
