THE Hamilton Junior Football League vote count was held at the Melville Oval grandstand last week.
The night, celebrated by players, supporters and committee members alike, paid tribute to the best of the best at both Under 17 and Under 14.5 levels.
In a runaway contest, the Under 17 best and fairest player was awarded to St Andrew’s co captain and league standout Damian Monaghan, with a total of 20 votes, over College Magpies player Sean Barnes’ with nine votes.
In the nine games Monaghan played, seven were vote-getters, and of those seven matches, all but one performance was worth the three votes.
