ST Andrew’s opening batsman, Brendan Huf has been selected to compete for Victoria Country in the National Championships on January 4. The local cricketing talent is one of 13 players that were selected after training with a state squad and playing in three trial games over the last couple of months. “It was good to get the call up,” Huf said. “I got the email Tuesday morning and I am looking forward to it.” Huf was selected to try out in October, playing two of the three trial games as well as a training session at the MCG nets.
