MELBOURNE resident Luke Davidson has been crowned champion in the Open Bull Ride at the Dartmoor Chute Out last Saturday night. Davidson won the showpiece event on the night, surviving the entire eight seconds to emerge victorious in what was initially described as an open field with several potential winners competing. Davidson entered against highly fancied opponents Cody Teece and Bryden Atkins, wary of their damaging potential when they get on a roll. Teece and Atkins would go on to finish short of a podium finish as a new set of riders put their stamp on the Chute Out for 2014. Read more in Monday’s Portland Observer, February 3, 2014.
