$600,000 gift for Portland hospital

Huw Cushing  |  NEW radiology equipment valued at $600,000 has been donated to Portland District Health from a local estate. The bequest from the Andrew Jack Charitable Trust announced yesterday will upgrade existing equipment and introduce new digital X-ray equipment. An existing orthopantomogram (OPG) machine, used for dental x-rays, will be upgraded to include cone-beam computerised tomography (CT) scans to give three dimensional digital images of the jaw for dentists.
