MONDAY’S lamb numbers increased by more than double that of last Monday, with 34,939 yarded and quality was plain to very good.
Not a lot of weight was penned with the yarding consisting mostly of light lambs to heavy trade weights, with limited heavy exports offered. A full field of buyers present and operating in a dearer market to a week ago. Again, there were a large number of light weight lambs penned that suited processor orders. Store buyers were quiet again this week, lambs back to the paddock gaining $5 per head. Light trade sold to $6 better, medium trade gained $10p/hd. Heavy trade gained more interest and jumped to $25p/hd dearer. Limited numbers of heavy export lambs were offered and sold to a top of $219p/hd and were to $35p/hd stronger in places to a week ago.
