HEYWOOD Consolidated School Year 7 students Rebecca Bryden and Jayden McLeod have qualified for the State Secondary Schools Championships to be held in Melbourne in November. The achievement comes after Bryden and McLeod delivered impressive performances in the Barwon South West regional final in Colac. Bryden won the junior girls section, which showcased Year 7-9 students, with a score of 103 off the stick playing with a handicap of 35. The 13-year-old said that she was looking forward to playing in Melbourne “very much.” “It’s a good experience and the courses are beautiful,” she said.
