The Spectator thinks this short documentary, by Baimbridge College graduate, Ayden Crumpton, is worth checking out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqJN2tv_b_w Mr Crumpton, 18, is studying a Bachelor of Film and Television at JMC Academy in Melbourne. The documentary shares the life of Mr Crumpton’s father and former Spec cartoonist, Shane Crumpton. The young Crumpton admits that dad was not his first choice, but said he made a perfect back-up plan. “I was going to do a documentary about hot air ballooning in Melbourne,” he said. “I had contacts for that and organised a free trip but all of a sudden the guy decided not to answer my calls any more.” Near completion of his first year of study, Mr Crumpton hopes to make his way up in the industry – which means years of voluntary work – until he can edit films.
