BACK TO BUSINESS
PENSHURST has announced its netball coaching panel for the 2018 Mininera and District Netball Association season, spear headed by former state league player and mentor Alan Connolly.
Connolly is the first man to coach a Penshurst A grade netball team since David Eastwood and he takes over from outgoing leader Nat O’Dea.
O’Dea will continue as coaching coordinator, a role she fulfilled this season, and will share the under-13s and under-15s coaching position with Michayla McRae.
Miranda Pye will again coach the Bombers’ B grade team after a strong performance from the team in 2017, while young star player Leah Mirtschin will take on her first senior coaching role, coaching C grade.
Jo Rentsch is the club’s new director of netball, taking over the position from Cassie Franklin, while the 17-and-under coaching position is not confirmed but believed to be filled.
