Coaching arrives for local tennis players
THE Hamilton Lawn Tennis Club has recently announced the signing of new coaching professional Grant O’Callaghan who will begin his coaching at the beginning of next year.
O’Callaghan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the club having coached at various Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula clubs for over 20 years.
Coaching isn’t the only impressive part of his resume as he was an extremely successful junior playing working his way up to the number seven rank in Australia for the 16 and under category.
Bringing success isn’t the first priority, it will be lifting membership levels and involvement within the local club.
“I just want to bring people back to the game of tennis and focus on making everyone better,” O’Callaghan said.
“I’m excited to be appointed, Hamilton hasn’t had a coach for a while and with a strong participation, it’s important the juniors are given the best coaching possible.”
