Passenger rail discussions positive
NO firm commitments towards improved passenger rail were made when Southern Grampians Shire representatives met with Minister for Public Transport, Jacinta Allen last week.
Southern Grampians Shire chief executive Michael Tudball, who visited Melbourne along with Mayor, Mary-Ann Brown, said that conversations in regards to the Western Rail project were positive.
“We were really pleased with how the meeting with Minister Jacinta Allen went,” Mr Tudball said.
“There was positive discussions regarding the Passenger Rail Business Case, connecting bus services for the increased Ararat V/Line timetable and importantly support to review and hopefully implement improved bus connections across all of our communities.”
