Malseed and crew hit the European circuit
PORTLAND cyclist Shannon Malseed and her team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank, have raced in Europe together for the first time, taking on the Ronde van Drenthe.
Taking place in the Netherlands on Sunday, Malseed and her team took on a 157.7-kilometre road race as a part of the European World Tour series.
Unfortunately it wasn’t all smooth sailing for TIBCO-SVB with four of the team’s competitors, including Malseed, unable to conclude the event.
Malseed was involved in a crash early into proceedings and was forced to abandon the race but emerged largely unscathed from the day.
It wasn’t all bad news however, with team mate Alison Jackson earning the mountain classification after cresting the Vamberg twice in first place.
Overall Jackson was the highest finishing member of TIBCO-SVB, landing in 62nd place.
