Minor premier ousted as Demons continue hot run
College 295 lt Macarthur 7-297
THE semi finals of the Hamilton and District Cricket Association A grade competition have seen two vastly different matches served up over the weekend as St Andrews and Macarthur won through to the decider at Melville Oval starting this Saturday.
Saturday dawned without a cloud in the sky and the players knew they were in for an afternoon of attrition as the temperature rose steadily towards 37 degrees, with the players and officials feeling the heat of both the weather and the finals.
At College Oval, Hamish Bailey won the toss for College and quickly told Simon Sharrock that the Eagles would bat first on a surface that looked chock full of runs.
