MACARTHUR and Broadwater residents have called Telstra out for its unreliable mobile phone coverage in the area.
A group of frustrated community members told The Spectator mobile phone reception has been unpredictable for 12 months now, and in some cases longer.
“Everybody down this way is totally fed up,” Broadwater resident Hugh McFarlane said.
“A lot of people in the area are copping the same thing. I feel sorry for people on a paid plan; they’re paying money for nothing at all.”
Captain of the Broadwater Rural Fire Brigade, Mr McFarlane said coverage was not dependable enough in an emergency situation.
