Dartmoor dominates round two clash
DARTMOOR has shown they are a force to be reckoned with in the South West District Football League after defeating Branxholme-Wallacedale by 113 points on Saturday.
The Giants’ season is shaping up nicely with their second win on the board – a dominant performance in Branxholme following round one’s come from behind victory over Westerns.
On Saturday Dartmoor gave a consistent four quarter effort with the margin increasing each term.
The Giants led eight goals to two at the long break, and then stormed away in the second half with a further 13 goals to two.
Assistant coach, Josh Woodall, was happy with the Giants’ intensity and their ability to lift in the third quarter to seal the game.
“It took a bit for us to get the ball moving but once we settled in we had some nice passages of play getting the ball down the field,” Woodall said.
“It really opened up in the third quarter and we were able to get our runners to move the ball quickly.”
