ROOS ARE READY
HAMILTON Kangaroos is coming into round one of the 2018 Hampden Football League season having enjoyed its most positive off-season in five years and with a new look team to take the field against South Warrnambool tonight, coach Matt Dunn is confident of early on field success.
The first ever match to be played under lights at Warrnambool’s Friendly Societies Park, the Kangaroos will have eight new players take the field from last year’s squad.
Each line has been solidified with experience and class, as Jandre Slabbert drops into the centre half-back position, Darcy Russell into centre half-forward and Tyrone Ross as the ruck rover.
Also included is big man Hugh Douglas, as well as Sam Brewer, James Cleaver, Sam Hasell and former Kangaroos best-and-fairest Brad Thomas.
