Bloods reach 100 in sixth consecutive win
CAVENDISH has recorded the biggest win of the week in the South West District Netball League after a 107-25 victory against Heywood.
The Bloods were back to full strength after some big players, including Leesa Iredell, returned to the court for their first full run with their top seven players.
Cavendish came out and dominated the court, finding their structures early on in the game and converting brilliantly in the goal circle to have a 25-5 lead at quarter time.
Heywood continued to pressure the Bloods and had some great passages of play down the court with Sharnah Malseed leading her team through the centre.
The Bloods continued to command the court and control the game with defenders Trish Hurley, Kate Pickford and Britt Raymond using their strength and anticipation of the ball to create plenty of turnovers.
Cavendish blew out the lead by the third quarter with the score at 80-19.
