Imbi a hit at Portland premiership reunion
PAST players, officials and supporters of the Portland Football Club gathered at Hanlon Park for the club’s annual past players day.
The event also covered the 10-year anniversary of the 2008 senior premiership and the 50-year anniversary of the 1968 reserves premiership, while memorabilia was on hand for the 30th anniversary of the 1988 under-18s premiership.
More than 20 premiership players gathered for the reunion, with 2008 coach Winis Imbi and Portland Past Players Association president Kevin Radley presenting.
Imbi’s interactive presentation was the highlight of the day and Radley said he engaged the crowd very well.
“He did one of those interactive talks and it kept everyone on their toes and it gave an insight as to where he is with his football and coaching abilities; it was very interesting,” Radley said.
