Local port manager looks forward to projects
LOCAL Port of Portland Bay manager Scott Easson is looking forward to further projects at the Local Port in the next 12 months to ensure recreational boat users enjoy their time on the water.
He took over the manager’s role earlier this year following the retirement of his predecessor Gary Bebbington.
Mr Easson said he had been employed at the Local Port by the Glenelg Shire Council for the past six years, mainly as a marina officer and a port officer before several stints last year as acting manager.
The Local Port is responsible for areas such as the Trawler Wharf, boat ramps, swing moorings and the marina in Portland.
